Privacy Policy, Class E Exam
Last updated: October 2026
Class E Exam ("the app") is published by Nexa Digital Core Inc., 1603 Capitol Ave, Ste 415, Cheyenne, WY 82001, USA. EIN 37-2239937. This policy covers the iOS app and the practice site at floridaclasse.com, which share the same optional account.
1. What leaves your device, and what never does
Studying, the exam simulator, the handbook, the animated scenes and the narration all work on your device with no network at all, and nothing you do there reaches us. Without an account there is no sign in and no way for the app to identify you. Three features go online, each only when you choose it: the App Store purchase (below), the "Ask the handbook" tutor (section 2), which sends your question to our server only after you have agreed to that in the app, and the optional account (section 3), which keeps your progress in step between the app and floridaclasse.com.
The App Store is involved only when you buy or restore Full Access. Apple handles that payment: we never see your name, your card, or your Apple ID. All the app gets back is Apple's confirmation that the purchase exists, and that confirmation stays on your device unless you attach it to an account (section 3). Everything else, all 450 questions, the lessons and the narration included, works with no network at all.
2. Ask the handbook
"Ask the handbook" lets you type a question about Florida driving rules and get an answer drawn from the Official Florida Driver License Handbook. To answer, the app sends your question, the language you chose, and the last few questions and answers of that conversation to a server we operate. That server passes the question to Anthropic's Claude model to compose the answer and returns it to you. So that the tutor can work on your weak spots, each question also carries a short summary of your practice on this device: your accuracy per topic and which practice questions you missed. When you tap "Explain this sign", the sign you are looking at is sent with the question. You can also ask by voice: if you tap the microphone, the recording is sent through our server to ElevenLabs, which turns it into text and returns it for you to check before sending. "Read aloud" in the chat sends the answer text to ElevenLabs, which returns the audio.
We do not store your questions or the answers, and we do not log them. The server keeps only a count of questions per day for each installation, keyed by a random identifier the app generates on your device. That identifier is not tied to your name, your Apple ID or anything else about you, it is never used for advertising or tracking, and the count is discarded within a day. Anthropic processes the text to produce the answer under its usage policies for API customers, does not use it to train its models, and deletes API inputs and outputs within 30 days. ElevenLabs processes the recording or the answer text only to produce the transcript or the audio, under its terms for API customers, which may retain that data for its own abuse prevention and service operation; we keep neither the recording nor the audio. Both companies are bound by their published terms to protect your data at least as well as this policy describes, and we share nothing with anyone else.
Before your first question the app shows you exactly what will be sent and asks you to agree. You can withdraw that agreement at any time in Settings under "Tutor data use"; the tutor then stops sending anything until you agree again. If you tap "Report this answer", the text of that answer is written to our server log, which our hosting provider keeps for about seven days, so we can correct it; nothing else about you travels with it.
Do not type personal information into the assistant. It needs none: it answers questions about the rules of the road, nothing else.
3. The optional account
Without an account, your answers, scores, exam attempts and settings are saved on your device only, in the app's own private storage. We have no access to them and they are never uploaded. Deleting the app deletes them. Nothing in the app requires an account.
If you choose to create one, you give us your email address and nothing else. There is no password: we send a six digit code to that address each time you sign in, and the app keeps a random session token on your device. Signed in, the app sends your progress record to our server and takes back the merged copy, so the app and floridaclasse.com show the same progress. That record holds, per question, how often you saw it and answered it right or wrong and when it is next due for review, plus your exam attempts (date, score, pass or fail, how the exam ended) and your exam date. It holds no names, no locations, and nothing from the tutor conversations.
The account also records which store your Full Access came from, so it can be unlocked on the other platform. From the App Store we store Apple's transaction identifier, verified with Apple's signature; from floridaclasse.com we store the Stripe checkout reference. Stripe handles the payment on the website: your card details go to Stripe, never to us, under Stripe's privacy policy. We receive your email address and the confirmation that the payment succeeded.
Account data is stored by our hosting provider, Render, in the United States, and the sign-in emails are sent by Resend. Neither uses the data for anything else. We keep the account for as long as it exists. You can delete it at any time, in the app under Settings or on the website under Your account: that removes your email, your sessions, your synced progress and the purchase records from our server immediately. Progress already on your device stays there, and an App Store purchase can still be restored through Apple.
4. No tracking and no advertising
The app contains no analytics, no advertising, no third party software development kits, and no tracking of any kind. It does not use your advertising identifier. It does not request or use your location, contacts, calendar, camera, photos or health data. It asks for the microphone only when you tap the microphone button in "Ask the handbook", and uses it only while you record.
5. Children
The app is for people preparing for a driving test and is not directed at children under 13. Without an account it collects no data from anyone. We do not knowingly open accounts for children under 13; if you believe one was created, write to us and it will be deleted.
6. Your rights
Rights of access, correction, deletion and portability apply to personal data held about you. Without an account we hold none. With one, everything we hold is shown to you in the app and on the website (your email, your progress and your purchase), and deleting the account removes all of it; you can also write to us at the address below. Data stored on your own device is removed by deleting the app.
7. Changes
If a future version of the app ever collects more than described here, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the change will be described here. Updated for version 1.1, which added the handbook assistant, and for version 1.2, which added the optional account.

9. About the content in the app
Questions are written from the Official Florida Driver License Handbook, a publication of the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. Traffic sign artwork follows the federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. Both are works of government and are in the public domain. The app is a study aid. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the State of Florida or any government agency, and practising in it produces no official result.
